After a successful career as a primary teacher and enjoying the wonders and challenges of motherhood, I am now committed to following my dream of working professionally as an actor.
Theatre and Drama along with Education were the main part of my teaching degree and thus I studied different acting styles and performed in many plays, most notably as Jean Brodie in Muriel Spark's, The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie.
To refresh and further develop my acting skills I attended acting classes at the 'Actors Lab', (Fleeshman Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) Manchester from Jan 2015 til Dec 2017.
I perform regularly in local theatres and I strive for the opportunity to be involved in fringe and eventually professional productions.
I have taken classes/workshops in acting for theatre as well as for camera and feel as comfortable and confident performing in front of the camera as I do on the stage.
I have gained valuable experience working as an SA, with some walk on/small roles, as well as working on short films. I continue to actively look to further develop my acting skills and widen my experiences for TV & film by working on similar projects.
I have lived and worked abroad in Prague (Czech Republic) and in Kampala (Uganda) and have a wealth of experiences to draw on.
I love to travel and experience new cultures.
I consider myself to be a strong character actress that can perform both dramatic gritty roles as well as more comedic ones and can take direction well whilst also bringing my own interpretations to a role.
I am eager to learn and feel I have a lot to offer both professionally as well as personally.
